With a diverse creative foundation spanning fashion, interior design, and architecture, she is widely recognized for her environmentally conscious design approach, understated elegance, clean functionality, and bespoke luxury interiors.
Over the past two decades, Joannides’ high-end residential and commercial projects have been featured in premier global shelter publications and honored with numerous international design awards.
Strategic Global Expansion
As MLK STUDIO continues to evolve, Joannides is actively expanding the firm’s global footprint by opening a new luxury interior design office in Europe. This strategic expansion allows the studio to intimately serve its growing roster of international clients and oversee high-end global design commissions with the precision and hands-on dedication for which the firm is renowned.
Background & Creative Expertise
Born and raised in Northern California, Joannides attended UC Santa Barbara and FIDM. She launched her career in New York City, managing contract interior design and large-scale, high-end build-outs for a global fashion brand—an experience that solidified her mastery of both visionary design and rigorous project execution. She eventually returned to the West Coast to launch her premier firm, MLK STUDIO.
Currently, Joannides is collaborating with revolutionary contemporary rug maker Christopher Farr on an exclusive collection of luxurious, bespoke rugs.

Aleksandar brings a refined European sensibility and a deep appreciation for structural harmony to MLK STUDIO’s newly established European division. With a background in interior design and interior architecture, he is grounded in the intersection of heritage and modern innovation, Aleksandar excels at translating complex architectural briefs into functional, understated, and luxurious spaces. His collaborative approach and meticulous attention to detail ensure that MLK STUDIO’s signature aesthetic is seamlessly integrated into the firm's growing portfolio of high-end international commissions.

As a full-service interior design firm, we manage high-end residential and commercial projects from the ground up. Our comprehensive services range from ground-up construction collaboration and project management to designing bespoke furnishings and executing the final styling touches. Specializing in medium to large-scale residential estates, our portfolio includes ultra-luxury residences spanning up to 40,000 square feet.
With a base in Los Angeles and an established reputation for delivering prestigious, full-scale projects across the United States, MLK STUDIO is proud to bring its signature design expertise to Europe. Through our newly established European office, we are currently accepting exclusive commissions and new clients across the continent.
Commercial Interior Design
We welcome commercial projects such as restaurants, hotels, real estate developments and retail space design. Meg’s vast retail experience while employed by Polo Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss building out their luxury showrooms worldwide and with hospitality clients such as The Farmer’s Daughter Hotel in Los Angeles, MLK STUDIO is uniquely positioned to undertake commercial project of varying sizes at various stages of construction.
